Introduction to Plant Medicine with Holly Calica
This class will provide a Cross-Cultural perspective of our relationship with plants on our sacred Mother Earth. Participants will experience how plants can bring us into balance, using plant spirit medicine, teas, and tinctures to address aspects of imbalance in our bodies. We will discuss sustainability of plants around the world, our role as gardeners, TEK (Traditional Ecological Knowledge), and our relationship with the land we immigrated to: Turtle Island. Finally, we will compare & contrast the flavors as well as the medicinal benefits of a few local California Native plants and Filipino herbs and spices.
