Florante Aguilar and his Utom Ensemble
Composed by Florante Aguilar, Utom is an eight-movement suite inspired by the mythological deity Boi Henwu and informed by the musical traditions and indigenous instruments of the T’boli people in Southern Mindanao. Featuring Special Guests, T’boli Master Artists: Maria Todi Wanan, culture bearer, hegalong and k’lintang player, and storyteller; and Joel Ganlal, drummer and flutist.
