TALAANDIG TRIBE

Datu Waway Saway, comunity leader and artist, utilizes art to educate youth and share his cultural traditions.

Bridging the gap between modern and traditional arts, the Talaandig Tribe is a contemporary tribal community that carries their ancestral way of life through to the present.
Renowned artists known for their soil paintings, instruments, musicianship, dance, and weaving, the Talaandig community of Bukidnon also works to sustain food security within the tribe and prioritizes educating their youth to understand and embrace their rich culture.

Everyone has a different definition of the American dream. A white picket fenced house comes to mind as an example of what my parents visualized and hoped when we all migrated to America. This idea of buying a family house in America is common for immigrants coming to US. Many immigrants including my parents have dreamed of a house in America and being in a safer country for their children to reach their full potential.
